As both the owner of Feather & Blade and a cosmetic tattoo artist, Holly has channeled her passion for empowering women into creating Kentucky’s premier restorative and cosmetic tattoo studio. Through her drive, quality work, and talented team, Feather & Blade has grown two studios in both Lexington and Louisville, KY serving more than 3,500 clients.
Holly has more than 7 years of experience and is six times certified in cosmetic tattooing. Her services include microblading, machine shading & ombre brows, as well as areola restorative tattoos & freckles.
KATY HURT
Cosmetic Tattoo Artist
Katy has a BFA with a concentration in drawing where she focused in anatomical study. Katy's CV includes museum and gallery exhibitions, teaching artist positions, and a gallery assistantship.
Katy has completed two cosmetic tattoo apprenticeships and multiple intensive trainings to develop her technique and has been full-time at Feather & Blade since 2018. Her focus is in microblading and ombre' brows. Her approach to brows resonates with her love of bone and muscle structures. She sees the brow as a key facial signature.
When she’s not creating custom brows, Katy loves drawing in her family studio, exploring the outdoors with her children, and treasure digging for architectural salvage and antiques.

Cosmetic Tattoo Artist
Heather was introduced to the world of art at a young age. She has always loved creating with charcoal, paint, and graphite. Having received an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and possessing a passion for portrait drawings, changing her medium to tattooing was a fun and natural transition. Originally from Detroit, Heather often volunteered her time by teaching art classes at a non-profit Youth Camp and worked at the world-renowned Detroit Institute of Arts.
In 2019 she received her cosmetic tattoo training in New York City and San Diego; she is certified in lip blushing, nano hairstroke, combo, and ombre brows. She continues participating in cosmetic tattoo courses as she knows the importance of always advancing her craft.
Heather is honored to be working with like-minded artists and excited about all the connections she has made so far. She loves meeting new people and the opportunity to transform others' self-esteem through cosmetic tattooing.

Krystal is an aesthetician certified in multiple aspects of cosmetic tattoo techniques. Her background in aesthetics includes five years’ experience working as a makeup artist. She has an eye for detail and precision, and she values making every client’s experience one-of-a-kind.
Her love of art, beauty, health and fashion are the driving force behind her passion to work in cosmetic tattoo. She believes in helping people restore confidence. As a mother, she understands the importance of saving time in a daily routine and loves supporting her clients in this goal with her work at Feather & Blade.
Krystal and her fiancé, Michael, prize spending time with their son, Kase, on the family ranch. They welcomed their second son in the spring of 2022. Her younger sister is both her neighbor and best friend. Together they advocate for suicide awareness, research, and education. Krystal prioritizes the importance of mental health and always encourages those around her to do so as well.

Katana has always had a passion for cosmetics. Even as a young girl, she felt a special connection to hair and makeup. In 2017, she left Pikeville, KY, to pursue a career in Cosmetology. By 2018, she had graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Lexington and dedicated the subsequent years to perfecting her craft behind the chair. Driven by her profound love for makeup, she broadened her expertise and added a PMU certification to her resume in 2021.
In her free time, Katana cherishes moments with her fiancé, Tyler, and their three pups. You might find her at a concert or adding to her diverse collection of house plants.

Social Media Manager
Originally from Illinois, Gabby moved to Lexington in 2017 to pursue an undergrad degree at the University of Kentucky. While in her senior year, she became a social media and marketing intern at Feather & Blade. After graduation in May 2021, Gabby stayed on the Feather & Blade team to run our social media accounts.
When she’s not posting, Gabby can be found reading a book, exploring Lexington’s food and beverage scene, or cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats!
